Peer Review Policy
International Journal of Agriculture, Food and Innovation – MIYR (IJAFI-MIYR)
The International Journal of Agriculture, Food and Innovation – MIYR (IJAFI-MIYR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous, fair, and transparent peer review process. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
1. Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, each manuscript is evaluated by the Editorial Office and the Editor-in-Chief to determine whether it:
- falls within the journal's aims and scope;
- meets the journal's formatting and submission requirements;
- demonstrates sufficient originality, scientific quality, and methodological rigor;
- complies with the journal's publication ethics and research integrity policies.
Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be rejected without external peer review.
2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant expertise.
During the review process:
- Authors do not know the identities of reviewers.
- Reviewers do not know the identities of authors.
- Reviewers evaluate manuscripts objectively and independently.
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
- originality and significance;
- scientific and technical quality;
- research methodology;
- quality of data analysis and interpretation;
- relevance to agriculture, food science, innovation, and related disciplines;
- clarity of presentation and organization;
- ethical compliance and appropriate citation of previous work.
3. Editorial Decision
After receiving the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
The Editor-in-Chief may seek additional reviews when reviewer recommendations differ substantially or when further expert evaluation is necessary.
The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief.
4. Revision Process
Authors receiving revision requests should submit:
- a revised manuscript; and
- a detailed response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
5. Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- provide fair, objective, and constructive comments;
- complete reviews within the agreed review period;
- maintain confidentiality of all submitted materials;
- disclose any conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation;
- decline review invitations when they cannot provide an impartial or timely review.
6. Confidentiality

Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must not disclose manuscript content or use unpublished information for personal, professional, or commercial purposes.
7. Conflicts of Interest
